Description
For regional anaesthesia and pain-management training programmes that need to practise fascial-plane injection technique under ultrasound guidance, built by Erler-Zimmer to visibly show fluid spread along the fascial plane.
Fascia is a thin sheath of connective tissue that surrounds all organs, blood vessels, bones, nerve fibres and muscles and holds them in place.
Injections for nerves and muscles are often injected into the surrounding fascia as the fluid flows along the fascia.
This simulator gives practitioners the opportunity to learn how to inject into the fascial plane and see the fluid in ultrasound Doppler mode.
On this simulator, the injected fluid moves along the fascial plane and exits into a water collection tray.
