Rohen and handcrafted in Somso's proprietary material by Coburg artisans, this eleven-section horizontal model of the human head — oriented in the CT scanning plane — bridges anatomy and clinical imaging, making it the preferred tool for anatomy programs integrating modern radiological training.

The model shows the anatomical structures of 11 consecutive horizontal sections through the human head orientated in the plane usual in CT and MR imaging (CA-CP plane) and having the same section thickness (0.8 cm). The sections shown in the model are mounted to a vertical support so that they can be swivelled out individually and then compared with the respective CT or MR image. Natural size in special plastic.
