Description
For dental hygiene programs building scaling technique on a standalone three-tooth anatomy model — recession exposure, simulated tissue, and customizable calculus placement make it highly adaptable.
Perio Sextant is a three tooth anatomical model built into a base. The model is best used for Dental Hygiene practice and the model is used for Dental Anatomy classes. You can use model paint or nail polish to simulate calculus so the student’s can learn how to properly align the cutting edge of the scaler to the tooth surface.
The recession in the middle tooth exposes the root. You can place a rubber band around the teeth to simulate tissue and calculus can be placed onto the model as well. Customize your model with those features to practice probing, scaling and other skills you want to refine. Great model for CEJ identification!
